What are grillz?

Grillz (often called ‘grills’) are decorative covers that are removable made of gold that are custom made to fit over your teeth. They are part jewellery, part fashion statement and have deep roots in hip hop culture but they also have been worn historically from ancient Etruscan gold dental work to modern custom designs.

How are they made?

Gold grillz are made by taking a mould of customers teeth, sculpting wax to a specific design, casting the wax in the desired material, polishing and finishing them with any extras like stones, engraving etc.

Do you offer both custom and pre-made grillz?

Grillz are never ‘pre made’. Every grill/z are custom made to fit your teeth.

Is the process safe for my teeth?

The process of of making grillz is safe for your teeth because it is non evasive however this is determined by how the impression is taken, the quality of which they are made, hygiene and habits.

Do I need a dental appointment before getting grillz?

You do not, however we at JaeGrills highly advise you regularly see a dentist and we will not make any grillz on customers if they are not dentally fit.

How long does it take to make custom grillz?

Our new turn around time is 4-6 weeks. This depends on the complexity of the Grill/z you require.

Can I get express production or shipping?

Of course! There will be an added fee on top of the grill charge depending on how quick you would like it.

Are your grillz real gold?


Of course! We offer 9 Karat, 14 Karat and 18 Karat Gold. The cheaper alternative is dental gold which has no gold within this material.

What is dental gold?

Dental gold is a non-precious dental alloy used by the dentist when you get a crown or filling. It's made to go into the mouth without any harmful effects. Dental gold can be yellow or white gold colour. It's a cheaper alternative compared to precious gold as it has no actual gold within the alloy.

Do you do silver grillz?

This is not something we offer however it can be arranged if you are happy to sign our disclaimer.

Why do you not offer silver grillz?

You should not have silver grillz in your mouth because silver tarnishes easily when exposed to moisture and acids which your mouth has both. We use solid white dental gold instead that looks like silver and is safe to be used in the mouth.

Do you offer diamond or gem-set grillz?

Of course! We offer diamond and gem-set grillz, fully custom to your style. Enquire here.

What is dental adhesive?

Dental adhesive is a non evasive material that acts as a glue to hold your grill in place. It can be easily taken off by brushing your teeth once the grill is removed.

What material should I get?

This is entirely up to yourself and your budget.



Are grillz suitable for everyday wear?

Of course! As long as you do not eat with them in and keep them as clean as possible!


How do I clean and care for my grillz?

We offer dental grade ultrasonic pods that can be purchased here. Alternatively we advise you to clean them with a toothbrush and smooth tooth paste if worn that day.

Will my grillz tarnish or fade over time?

Gold is highly resistant to oxidisation and corrosion with proper care. They will overtime if not properly looked after.

Can I eat or drink while wearing grillz?

Drinking is okay only if you keep the grill as clean as possible. You cannot eat with grillz. Having a grill on top of your tooth opens your bite making it the point of contact. It stops you from biting together hence why we deem it as jewellery only.

Can I smoke while wearing grillz?

You can however it is not advised as you want to keep the oral environment as clean as possible and grillz will taint over time.

How do I store my grillz safely?

With every order we supply a cotton jewellery pouch and a foam casing box.

What if my grillz get damaged?

Is there a warranty or guarantee on my grillz?

No we do not! Grillz are exposed to heavy wear and personal use factors we cannot control such as improper cleaning, eating with them on, poor storage, dropping them and body chemistry (saliva, food acids, drinks and heat)

Do you offer polishing services on grillz?

Yes we do. Over time grills become slightly tainted, dirty or scratched. We offer a polishing service to bring your old grills back to life for £30. Contact us for more details.

Do you offer bulk or group discounts (e.g. for weddings, teams, or events)?

We are always open to discussing bulk or group orders for weddings, teams, or events. The final decision and pricing depend on the design, materials, and quantity. If you share your ideas with us, we can see what’s possible and work out the best option for you.

Do you work with stylists, influencers, or creatives?

We love collaborating with stylists, influencers, and creatives. Whether you’re styling a music video, curating a photoshoot, or building your personal brand, we can create fully custom grillz that match your vision. We work closely with you from concept to final piece, making sure every design detail reflects your style.

Can we book you to work at our events?

Do you offer whole sale grillz?

No we do not!

Do you offer a casting service?

We do however only for dental golds. Please contact us to find out more about our pricing and turnaround time.

Do you offer grillz workshops/courses?

We provide shipping to the UK, EU and Internationally.

How does your postage process work (UK) ?

Stage 1
Order grill/s through our online store. A fee of £18.00 is added to your grill purchase to cover the initial first postal fee and impression kit.

Stage 2
Free post label supplied to return the impression kit to our laboratory.

Stage 3
Once the grill/s are completed we post them back to you (special delivery royal mail) with the postage covered by us.

How does your postage process work (EU/International) ? ✈

Stage 1
Order grill/s through our online store. A fee is added to your grill purchase to cover the impression kit, shipment cost is calculated based on your address.

Stage 2
Return the impression kit to our laboratory.
Please note: For international orders, check the return shipping costs for returning your impression back to us prior to placing an order. The customer is responsible for covering the return postage expenses, as refunds are not provided post-purchase.

Stage 3
Once the grill/s have arrived back to us, we will work on your grill/s. Upon completion we will post them back to you with the postage covered by us.
